Most reputable companies are back logged like never before right now. We can’t just increase the size of the crew to take on more work… At least not without damaging our reputation. We hire very carefully. It’s a slow process because we are after the best people in the industry. We end up booking as far into the future as people are willing to wait.
I can’t speak for everyone but we normally stay booked out between 3-4 months. From what I’ve heard some others are scheduled out even longer now. If you have a small job we may be able to fit it into a gap in the schedule sooner but don’t wait too long to reach out.
I recommend that if you are looking to initiate a more involved project you start the process no less than 5 months in advance. That will give you time to gather estimates, choose a Contractor and schedule the work to coincide with your timeline.
